−Print Locations on Garments−

When considering printable locations on garments, the perspective should be from the individual wearing the garment - not as an onlooker viewing the garment.

Front Of Garments »

  • Left Chest - The "Left Chest" print area is where the pocket on a shirt typically resides. The individual wearing the garment would see the pocket on the left-hand side, while a different individual viewing the shirt would see it on the right-hand side. For garments with pockets, the print can either be on or above the pocket.

    Max Dimensions For Left Chest Prints:

    Pocketed Garments: 3.25 inches in Width x 3.25 inches in Height

    Non-Pocketed Garments: 4 inches in Width x 4 inches in Height

    Embroidery: 3.5 inches in Width x 3.5 inches in Height

  • Full Front - The "Full Front" print area is the large front print area that is most requested for prints on the front of a garment. These prints can take up most of the width of the garment when a large print is desired, and any derivation in between depending on customer needs.
    Full Front Location

    Max Dimensions For Full Front Prints:

    Adult Garments: 15 inches in Width x 17 inches in Height

    Youth Garments: 12.5 inches in Width x 15 inches in Height

    3T: 9 inches in Width x 9 inches in Height

    18M: 8.5 inches in Width x 8 inches in Height

  • Small Front Center - The "Small Front Center" print area is exactly as it sounds:  a small print centered horizontally on the front of the garment.

    Max Dimensions For Small Front Center Prints:

    Adult Garments: 7.5 inches in Width x 7.5 inches in Height

    Youth Garments: 4.5 inches in Width x 4.5 inches in Height

Back Of Garments »

  • Full Back - The "Full Back" print area is the equivalent of the "Full Front" print area, simply located on the back of the garment instead.

    Max Dimensions For Full Back Prints:

    Adult Garments: 15 inches in Width x 17 inches in Height

    Youth Garments: 12.5 inches in Width x 15 inches in Height

    3T: 9 inches in Width x 9 inches in Height

    18M: 8.5 inches in Width x 8 inches in Height

  • Tag Back - The "Tag Back" print area is a very small print area printed within a few inches from the bottom of the collar on the back of a garment.

    Max Dimensions For Tag Back Prints:

    3.25 inches in Width x 3.25 inches in Height

    Embroidery: 3.5 inches in Width x 3.5 inches in Height

Garment Sleeves »

  • Left/Right Sleeve - Print areas on either sleeve are smaller prints, roughly the dimensions of a "Left Chest" print, on short-sleeve garments. On long-sleeve garments, this print can run along the majority of the length of the sleeve.

    Max Dimensions For Left/Right Sleeve Prints:

    3.25 inches in Width x 3.25 inches in Height

    Embroidery: 3.5 inches in Width x 3.5 inches in Height

−Number of Colors−

With screen-printing, printed colors are applied one at a time, in layers, so that the final color printed completes the image. Because of this, each color requires it's own individual screen, and thus the garment prints themselves are priced out according to the number of colors. When trying to reduce the cost of custom garment creation, keep this in mind and try to minimize the number of colors required to print your artwork. Our artists can assist with any needs you may have with this.

−Sizing−

Sizing is an important part of the ordering process. Unless otherwise specified as Youth, Infant, etc., all sizes will be assumed to be Adult sizes and will be ordered accordingly. Keep in mind that if you need a large range of garment sizes, ranging from Youth through Adult, you may need to request two sets of screens instead of just one. To elaborate, the artwork has to be made to fit the smallest size in your order. If you have small youth sizes, then this art size will have to be used on the adult sizes as well. Ordering two sets of screens, one for Youth garments and one for Adult garments, you can eliminate this sizing restriction. The artwork will be created at two different sizes, and the appropriate size will be printed on the Youth and Adult garments.
